A total of 340 referees have successfully completed the mandatory written examination as part of the assessment process for the upcoming 2025/26 football season.
The exercise was conducted in two zones, with 150 match officials taking part in the Northern Zone in Kumasi, and 190 officials participating in the Southern Zone in Koforidua.
The written test forms an integral part of the referee assessment programme, which ensures that match officials were adequately prepared and equipped for the demands of the new season.
“Referees who successfully pass all stages of the assessment will earn eligibility to officiate across major competitions organised under the umbrella of the Ghana Football Association. These include the Premier League, Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, and the prestigious MTN FA Cup,” a statement from the FA said.
