Alhaji Osman attends 25th International Religious Freedom Act summit in Washington DC

Ahead of the 25th anniversary of the International Religious Freedom Act (IRFA) in Washington DC, USA, on Tuesday , Alhaji Mohammed Khuzaima Osman, the Executive Secretary of the Tijjaniya Muslims Movement of Ghana (TMMG) is calling for truce in the Israel-Gaza war.

Alhaji Osman is also urging two state solution to end the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Alhaji Osman, who is also a member of the National Peace Council (NPC), is attending the 25th anniversary as promoter of peace, a human rights activist and an Islamic scholar.

The statement said that the anniversary presents the opportunity to reflect strong bipartisan consensus in the United States around the centrality to religious freedom, peace and stability.

It said the IRFA would hear from leaders whose vision first created a mandate for promoting international religious freedom.

Alhaji Osman, also, the Founding Member and Executive Director of the Christian -Muslim Forum for Dialogue and Mutual Relations in Ghana, was invited by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), in partnership with the United States Department of State.

The statement said former Representative, Frank Wolf, former Senator, Don Nickles, former U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) Chair, Katrina Lantos Swett, Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain, as well as all former Ambassadors-at-Large for International Religious Freedom: Robert Seiple, John Hanford, Suzan Johnson Cook, David Saperstein, and Sam Brownback would speak at the anniversary.
