Appiatse c’nity receives donation from Echo House

Echo House Ghana Limited, a marketing communications agency and its partners on Saturday donated assorted food products to victims of the explosion which occurred in Appiatse in the PresteaHuni-Valley Municipality.

More than 100 packages of cooking oil, milk products, beverages, rice and toothpaste were offered by the partners, comprising Frytol, Dano, Malta Guinness, Fortune Rice and Close Up.

A statement issued by the company yesterday said the gesture was in keeping with the spirit of sharing love on Valentine’s Day, celebrated in Ghana as National Chocolate day.

To achieve its goal, the 360 marketing communications agency reached out to some of its partners who were happy to support their worthy cause and spread the message of love with the displaced residents of the community.

The Chief Executive Officer of EchoHouse, Beryl AgyekumAyaaba said the Agency was committed to playing its part as a member of the Ghanaian community and would continue to stand with others in times of need.

“We are borrowing from the concept of expressing love on Valentine’s Day to share our love with the people whose lives have been turned upside down by the January 20 incident.

“Our thoughts are with them every day and maybe our little contribution will give our brothers and sisters some moment of relieve,” she said and thanked the partners for the support.

The Deputy Director of National Disaster Management Organisation at PresteaHuni- Valley Municipal Assembly, Louis Afful, who accepted the items expressed her gratitude to EchoHouse and its partners for the show of love.

While commending the marketing communications agency for their service to the community, he also called on other bodies and individuals to provide assistance whichever way they can.

It is recalled that on January 20, 2022, an explosion at Appiatse a suburb of PresteaHuni-Valley Municipality, claimed the lives of 13 people whiles leaving hundreds of others, injured and displaced.
