Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says he has discovered a game-changing technology that could help Ghana tackle the devastating effects of illegal mining.
As part of his study tour of Japan, Dr. Bawumia visited 3R, a cutting-edge environmental technology company specialising in sustainable innovation.
According to him, 3R has developed advanced technology capable of recycling water and cleaning contaminated soil by completely removing harmful heavy metals, including mercury.
Dr. Bawumia described seeing the innovation firsthand as truly inspiring, especially as Ghana seeks sustainable, long-term solutions to restore lands and water bodies destroyed by galamsey.
“Innovation like this proves that with the right technology, determination, and foresight, we can heal our environment, protect our natural resources, and secure a safer, cleaner future for generations to come,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude to the leadership and technical team at 3R for opening up their facility and sharing invaluable insights with his team.
