Private Health Facility, Sonotech Medical and Diagnostic Center has organised a health expo at Osu, Accra as part of activities to mark 10 years of offering health care in the country.

The Health Expo comprised free health screenings including Haemoglobin level check, Malaria, Typhoid, Blood Group check, Hepatitis B and C as well as HIV screening for about 300 patrons.

Patrons received free consultations and health education on various health topics including free dental health, from health personnel from Sonotech health professionals.

Providing the rationale behind the Health Expo, the Medical Director of Sonotech Medical Center, Dr Grace Buckman said it was a way of showing support for the wellbeing of the host community.

“A healthy community is a strong community. Our 10th Anniversary Mega Health Expo embodies that spirit. We’ve celebrated together, empowered each other, and now, we march ahead, ensuring a healthier, brighter future” she said.

She said the Centre would continue to provide quality service through its three branches in the Osu Oxford Street Mall, Community 9 in Tema and inside the West hills Mall at Dukonah near Weija.

Sharing their experiences after the screening, some participants congratulated Sonotech on their anniversary and expressed appreciation for the organisation of the exercise.

Mary Kumah, a beneficiary described the expo as a testament of Sonotech’s commitment to providing quality health for Ghanaians since its inception.

“I had a detailed discussion with the psychologist about stress management. It was as if they customized the advice just for me. It is rare to get this level of attention”, she said.
