GCB Bank PLC has donated GH¢200,000 to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to support educational development initiatives across the country.

The donation was presented on Thursday by the bank’s Chief of Staff, Mr Abraham Ferguson Yahaya. The Deputy Administrator of GETFund, Mr Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa, received it on behalf of the Administrator, Mr Paul Adjei, as part of activities marking Customer Service Week.

Mr Yahaya reaffirmed GCB Bank’s commitment to supporting education and national development, stressing that investment in education was essential to building human capital and promoting Ghana’s long-term socio-economic progress.

Receiving the donation, Mr Dandaawa expressed appreciation to the bank for its contribution to the education sector.

He said the funds would support the Fund’s ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure and expand opportunities for students nationwide.

Mr Dandaawa also underscored the importance of partnerships with corporate institutions in complementing public investment in education and improving teaching and learning conditions.

The donation highlights the role of private-sector organisations in advancing education through corporate social responsibility initiatives and collaboration with public institutions.

GETFund supports the provision and improvement of educational infrastructure and related facilities across the country. Contributions from corporate institutions help provide additional resources to support the Fund’s mandate. Read More.
