In Berkane, the Moroccan champions overwhelmed Power Dynamos thanks to an early own goal from Aaron Katebe, a sharp finish from Mounir Chouiar, and Paul Bassène’s second-half penalty.
Hours later in Cairo, Pyramids delivered an equally commanding performance, beating Rivers United 3–0 with a superb hat-trick from Ahmed Atef El Sayed. Two quick goals early in the second half broke the Nigerian side’s resistance before Atef completed his treble.
