GUM urges Ghanaians to reject NPP,NDC

The Flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrew, has urged Ghanaians to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 elections.
According to him, the two dominant political parties have had the opportunities to rule Ghana many times but failed to meet the expectations of citizens, leaving many in hardship.
He called on voters to reconsider their choices and give GUM the opportunity to transform the country’s governance system and improve its development.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Reverend Andrew said, “The majority of Ghanaians are suffering, and there is a need for a complete change in governance. If we want different results, we must stop repeating the same mistakes of choosing the NPP or NDC.”
He explained that the lack of significant progress under successive governments of the two parties has hindered the country’s growth and prosperity.
He encouraged Ghanaians to think about their future and avoid being influenced by last-minute gifts or money distributed by politicians.
“Don’t sell your future for meagre amounts of money or any gifts. Think about the lasting effects of your decisions and act wisely,” he advised.
Reverend Andrew also cautioned against election malpractices and urged all stakeholders to act responsibly.
He further called on officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to maintain neutrality and resist any temptation to manipulate election results.
“Security personnel must also conduct themselves professionally and ensure a peaceful election,” he added.
He emphasised that a vote for GUM would not be wasted and encouraged Ghanaians to rally behind him for a better future.
He believes GUM’s leadership would bring genuine transformation to the economy and improve the lives of the populace.
Reverend Andrew also urged journalists to prioritise accurate reporting, noting that well-informed citizens can make better decisions.
He appealed to Ghanaians to put the nation’s interest first and avoid actions that could disrupt the electoral process.
The flagbearer who is also a religious leader affirmed GUM’s commitment to changing Ghana’s narrative and called on the electorate to support his vision for a prosperous country.
