The King of the Igbo Community in Ghana, Dr Eze Chukwudi Ihenetu, was awarded with the Africa Living Legend Award in Accra last week for his remarkable contributions to society.
The award was presented to him, especially for his significant initiatives in the field of education, health and promotion of peace in his capacity as a global peace ambassador.
Dr Ihenetu, who grabbed this prestigious award expressed gratitude for the recognition and touched on the need for peace on various platforms and promised to continue to work to improve the lot of needy people.
“I am always happy to serve humanity because I believe that being each other’s keeper is all that matters. We should always be there to support vulnerable ones as humans,” he added.
Dr Ihenetu was pleased to be identified and given the Africa Living Legend Award (ALLA), and reiterated his gratitude to the organisers for the honour done to him.
“I am very grateful to all who have been supporting me and the entire Igbo community for their fervent prayers, and I really say a big thank you to all,” the king appreciated.
He stressed on the need for individuals to be dedicated, resilient, positive, loyal and committed to whatever they do to touch the lives of the less fortunate in society.
Organiser of the Africa Living Legend Award, High Chief Darlinghty Momoh Umoro, the Editor-in-Chief of the Elation Magazine commended all the award recipients for their outstanding contributions and urged them to continue helping humanity.
