The Ga Central Municipal Assembly of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), on Friday, organised 2025 edition of Governance Challenge Quiz, for four schools in the municipality.

The 2025 edition forms part of the commission activities aimed at deepening children’s knowledge of the constitution and its framework.

Jamverson Academy, Glorious Pearls, Holy Child and Eagle of Greatness took part in the competition.

The smart Governance Challenge is an annual Civic Education initiative designed to make learning about the 1992 constitution more engaging and practical for the public.

Branding the programme this way, NCCE seeks to encourage young people to connect constitutional principles with good governance and responsible citizenship in a fun and competitive setting.

Initially, Glorious Pearls and Holy Child were tied for second place.

To resolve the tie, additional questions were presented to both schools, resulting in Glorious Pearls securing second place while Holy Child finished in third.

Jamverson School emerged as the winner of the quiz, achieving first place with 29 points.

In his address, Mr Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly, urged the students to take the study of the constitution seriously, emphasizing its significance as a vital instrument for nation building.

He also commended the NCCE for their commitment to Civic Education, despite facing resource constraints.

The Municipal Director of NCCE, Madam Mary Dagba, conveyed her appreciation to the MCE and the Ga Central Municipal Assembly for their ongoing support.

She expressed gratitude to the participating schools, their patrons, the Ghana Education Service (GES), the entire staff of the NCCE, and the quiz moderator, Mr Wisdom Ofori, for their collaborative efforts in ensuring the success of the programme.
