The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Division One League (DOL) side, Accra Great Olympics, Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, has urged supporters of the club to support the new administration of the club in their bid to bring the club back to the elite stage.
According to him, bringing Olympics back to its rightful place remains a task every stakeholder must apply the hands to and not one to be left on the shoulders of a few.
The experienced football administrator made the call at a crunch meeting held at the club’s Secretariat on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by the new management team led by Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, the new head of technical team, Coach Sulley, supporter’s leadership led by Mr Joe Boye and the newly appointed Communications Director, Mr Maurice Quansah, a seasoned Sports Journalist and former Vice President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
Addressing the meeting, Mr Fianoo thanked the previous management for the work they have done and made a firm promise to build upon that.
According to him, the management team was fully committed to ensure that the club took its rightful place in Ghana soccer.
“We must work together to make Oly better. Management will work hand in hand with supporters and other important stakeholders to realise this noble dream” Mr Fianoo assured.
The General Manager, Mr Eric Alagidede, expressed his readiness to work together with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth promotion of Olympics to elite division.
Mr Alagidede also noted with emotion that “Oly does not deserve to play in DOL. Olympics belong to the Premiership League. If we get our acts well, Oly should be able to represent Ghana in Africa club championships at all times.”
He called on all fans to remain steadfast and contribute their quota towards the much needed rebuilding process.
Mr Maurice Quansah, the new Communications Director of the club on his part affirmed his commitment to lead a vibrant rebranding and marketing drive to make Accra Great Olympics a household name in the world of football.
“Oly Dade is a wonderful brand and we cannot afford the luxury of failure” he emphasised.
“I call on all supporters to stand firmly behind us, Mr Quansah added.
Coach Sulley expressed his contentment to be with the wonder club, promising to work hard to build a winsome side for Accra Great Olympics.
He said he was working around the clock to get good players registered to beef up the current squad.
The supporters leader, Mr Joseph Boye, who led a strong team including General Secretary Sir Ottolex, Mr Eben Tandoh, Nii Maale Adsei, Mr Joseph Armah, Nii Bilaal, Alhaji Larsey, Mr Livingston Agbodza and Mr Eric Kotey, thanked the new management for the meeting and assured them that supporters will be there for them at all times.
