Man fined GH¢5,000 for attempting to shoot Akyem Kade chief

The circuit court on at Kade, on Tuesday imposed GH¢5, 000 fine on a 42-year-old man, for attempting to shoot at the chief of AkyemKade, Osabarima AgyareTinadu Il.

Osei Forson Kwadwo, was arrested by police over the weekend and charged for indiscriminate gunshot, after he fired gunshots to scare the chief and his entourage from a funeral ground.

However, according to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwaebibirm, Seth Antwi Boasiako, there were still pending criminal charges against accused.

The MCE said “Osei Forson Kwadwo was taken to court, and he was charged and fined for indiscriminately firing gunshots. There is another charge, which the security service arrested him for. The chief has levelled allegations against him, but he is yet to be charged for that.”

Mr Boasiako said “investigation is still going on that criminal allegation made by the chief”. -Ghanaweb
