The Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr Mahama Ayariga, has pledged to introduce measures to identify and value properties across the country to improve the collection of property rates.
He said although the country had a street naming and house numbering programme aimed at providing specific addresses for properties, the initiative did not capture the nature and value of properties for property rate assessment.
