Missionaries from the One Church of God Prophecy in the United Kingdom on Monday visited children at the Street Academy, a sports and cultural organisation taking care of hundreds of underprivileged children.

The two missionaries – Antoinette Johnson and Andria Rhooms- interacted with the children and teachers of the academy and pledged to support their activities.

Subsequently, they donated food items, stationery and other learning material to aid the training of the children.

According to the Director of the Academy, Ataa Lartey, the gesture by the missionaries would ease the burden on the academy regarding the feeding and provision of logistics for their upbringing.

Ataa Lartey said apart from those who are offered training in sports and culture, there were those who are brilliant and have been enrolled in schools to have formal education.

He expressed gratitude to them, adding that, “the presentation is very timely as we prepare to get the children in a good mood for the Easter celebration.”
