Muslims across the world are expected to begin this year’s Ramadan fast on Tuesday, depending on the sighting of the moon.
Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islam, and Muslims who are sound and healthy observe the month-long spiritual cleansing ritual by abstaining from food, drink, and sexual activity from dawn to dusk, during which they seek the blessings and mercies of Allah.
