Hosts and defending champions Morocco will face three-time winners Egypt in the 2020 AFCON Futsal final today in Laayoune after thrashing Angola 4-0 on Wednesday night.
This will be a repeat of the last edition in South Africa in 2016 where the Moroccans won 3-2 to clinch their first title.
Egypt had earlier booked a slot in the final after hitting Libya 5-2.
The two have thus automatically qualified for the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup which will be held in Lithuania. Angola will face Libya in the play-off to determine the third team to join the two finalists at the World Cup.
While Egypt is looking to clinch a record extending fourth title, Morocco are looking to successfully defend the diadem they won for the first time four years ago.
They were commanding against the Angolans with a brace from Achraf Mohamed Saoud adding on to goals from Mohamed Jouad and Hamza Bouyouzan.
Backed by their rapturous home fans, Morocco always were going to be favorites heading into this tie, and they took the maximum home advantage heading into the break with a healthy 3-0 scoreline.
Some patient build up saw the Moroccans break the deadlock after seven minutes of play, Saoud scoring from the baseline after being picked out by a peach of a pass from Abdelatif Fati.
Less than a minute of play later, Morocco were 20 up when Jouad struck a brilliant shot on the volley, straight from a corner after Anas El Ayyane cited him unmarked at the edge of the arch.- Cafonline
