Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, staged a major political comeback on Saturday when he was elected National Chairman at the party’s National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Mr Boadu polled 2,888 votes to defeat former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, who obtained 2,408 votes, while former National Chairman, Paul Afoko, garnered 790 votes.
His victory was boosted by the late withdrawal of another contender, Sammy Crabbe, who threw his support behind him.
The election also produced a convincing second-term victory for incumbent General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, who secured the highest vote tally of the conference with 4,486 votes. Read More
