Staff of the New Times Corporation (NTC) have been encouraged to deepen unity and teamwork to help drive the growth and success of the organisation.
The call was made at the climax of the corporation’s Ghana Month celebration, held at its headquarters in Accra on Wednesday. The event brought together management and staff in a relaxed atmosphere to mark the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairperson of the Interim Management Committee and a Board Member of NTC, Dr Charity Binka, stressed the importance of working together, noting that there was strength in unity.
She urged staff to see themselves as one family and work collectively towards moving the corporation forward.
Dr Binka also expressed satisfaction with the impressive turnout, observing that staff had set aside their duties to be part of the celebration.
“Let’s have fun, enjoy ourselves, and remember that we all have a stake in this corporation. If it sinks, it sinks with all of us, but if we overcome the challenges, it will be for our collective good,” she stated.
She further encouraged staff to collaborate more closely in building a stronger and more successful New Times Corporation.
In her welcome address, the Editor of The Spectator, Mrs Georgina Quaittoo, also expressed excitement about the programme and commended staff for their participation.
She noted that such gatherings provided an opportunity to strengthen bonds and promote unity among workers.
“This gathering calls for unity among staff and reminds us of the importance of working together,” she mentioned.
The event featured music, food, inter-departmental games, and dancing, creating a lively atmosphere that fostered interaction and strengthened camaraderie among staff.
