Persons living with disabilities and socio-economic vulnerabilities caused by neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) should be included among beneficiaries of the three per cent District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) allocation for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the Upper East Region have demanded.
The CSOs Network on NTDs said victims of diseases such as elephantiasis, leprosy and yaws endured severe physical, psychological and financial hardships and should no longer be left out of government’s social protection interventions. Read More
