The three-week competition featured 16 communities, including Sunyani Newtown, Area One, Fiapre, Penkwasi and Abesim Koonum.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Bono Regional Manager of MTN, Mr Kofi Owusu, described this year’s competition as a success, saying it had recorded improvements over the previous edition.

He said the enthusiasm and strong support demonstrated by residents of the Sunyani Municipality reflected the growing interest in the competition.

Mr Owusu commended the participating teams for their discipline and sportsmanship throughout the tournament and pledged that MTN would address the shortcomings identified during this year’s event to make the next edition better.

He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote unity and bring communities together.

The Chief Executive Officer of Suncity Group of Companies, Mr Ransford Antwi, also commended the participating teams and football fans for their active involvement in the three-week programme.

Other activities organised as part of the festival included a health walk and free health screening to promote healthy lifestyles.
