The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has assured candidates whose 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results are still showing as ‘pending’ that the issues will be resolved quickly to enable them to meet university admission deadlines.
The assurance follows concerns from parents and candidates over delays in receiving their complete results, with some students worried that the situation could affect their chances of securing admission to tertiary institutions this year.
The 2026 WASSCE results were released on September 6, but some candidates found that one or more of their subject results were still pending, although the results had not been cancelled or withheld by the Council. Read More
