The police has commenced investigations into the gruesome murder of a security guard,atHigh Ranking International School, at Napogbakole Extension, Wa, in the Upper West Region.
The body of Amora Dramani, with head injuries was found buried in an uncompleted building.
The Director of Police Public Affairs, Superintendent of Police (Supt) Alexander KwekuObeng, confirmed the tragedy to the Ghanaian Times, yesterday, said last Friday, AbubakariSalahudeenDumah, the administrator of the school, reported the case to the police.
Supt Obeng said Mr Dumah told the police that the security guard went on duty at the school, but did not return home.
The Director of PolicePublic Affairs said Mr Dumah reported the case to the police and when the police proceeded to the school, “they found particles of sand mixed with red substance scattered in front of one of the classrooms.”
He said the police also found “one inhaler, four sticks of cigarette, one white hat stained with blood, broken mosquito coils and coil stands belonging to the security guard.”
He said a Medical Officer of Wa Municipal Hospital and Environmental Health Director, in Wa, were invited to the scene, and when the grave was dug, a body, in an advanced stage of decomposition, was exhumed.
Supt Obeng said the Medical Officer examined the body, identified as that of Dramani, adding that the officer said the cause of death was “head injury.”
He said the body had been released to the family of Dramanifor burial while investigations into the case continued.
