The Tijjaniya Muslims Movement of Ghana (TMMG) under the leadership of Zaeem Sheikh Imam Abdul Wadudi Haruna, said in their condolences, “The Almighty Allah promises in the holy Quran, “Every soul will taste death. “
“ What is however, pleasing to Allah and to us is the fact that our dear mother passed on as a devoted Muslim who practiced five daily prayers, observed the 30 days fasting of Ramadan, performed the Hajj and had paid her Zakat, constituting the observation and fulfillment of the five fundamental pillars of Islam. “
“And die not except in a state of Islam” (3:102) because “Truly, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. The Holy Prophet Muhammed (may Allah be pleased with Him and His Household) said “Death in Islam is the termination of worldly life and the beginning of another in the grave towards the heaven or hell”.
Allah says in the Quran “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.” (3:19).
“We pray to Allah to forgive all the wrongs and trespasses of our dear mother and grant her the highest place in the Heavens.”
“We once again extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray to Allah to grant those heavy hearts and fortitude to be able to withstand the lost and overcome it.”
Hajia Mariama Bawumia had been buried in Walewale, her hometown in line with Islamic customs and traditions.
