In response to requests for support, Soccer for Dreamers, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has presented football kitsto 10 colt football clubs in the Eastern Region (E/R).
The teams are Nayan SA of Ayernya, D-Shooters FC, Fiakonya, Fano Babies, Doryum, March Babies, Dodowa, Shining Star Babies of Dedenya, Estate Real United, Asutsuare, New Gen SA, Dodowa, Agormeda Youth, Agomeda, Young Heroes of Abonya, and Brazilian Babies from Kasunya.
The items, sourced from American-based New York Red Bulls Academy, included Red Bull jackets, Red Bull Leipzig jerseys, Red Bull T-shirts, Nike-branded water bottles, boots, and socks, among others.
Making the presentation, the Ghana Representative of Soccer for Dreamers, Mr Stephane Lecosson, said the presentation followed requests for support from clubs and organisations throughout the country.
“We receive a lot of request for support and as a young organisation, we do our best to convince our partners to help the young ones with the support needed to realise their dreams.”
Mr Lecosson stated that he hopedthe presentation would go a long way to address some of the needs of the beneficiary clubs.
He praised Mrs Sylvia Akwaboah, President of Soccer for Dreamers, and the founders of the NGOnBaruch, Jed and Kayden Akwaboah, for their pivotal roles played in securing the items from Red Bulls Academy.
Coach Mark Tetteh Narwortey of D-Shooters FC expressed appreciation for the donation on behalf of the teams, noting that it would go a long way to help them raise the next generation of talented footballers for Ghana.
