TUDEC, in collaboration with Time to Help, has held its annual slaughtering exercise to support vulnerable households ahead of Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The initiative, which has become an annual tradition, is aimed at sharing meat and other relief items with families, irrespective of religious background, to promote unity and inclusiveness during the festive season.
Briefing the media on the exercise, the Chief Executive Officer of TUDEC said the programme forms part of its commitment to community development, social responsibility and the promotion of solidarity among diverse groups.
According to the organisation, the initiative continues to bring people together while ensuring that vulnerable families are able to participate in the joy of the Eid celebrations.
The partner organisation, Time to Help, expressed appreciation for the collaboration, noting that the exercise reflects the importance of partnerships in addressing social needs and strengthening community bonds.
Beneficiaries of the programme expressed gratitude for the support, describing it as timely and impactful, particularly during the festive period.
TUDEC reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the initiative in the years ahead, under its guiding principle of ‘Putting People First,’ and pledged to extend its reach to more vulnerable families.
