A pastor from the MT. Ewon Baptist Church in Philadelphia, United States of America, Rev. Dr Edmund T. Sherill, yesterday paid a visit to the Street Academy, a sports and cultural organisation based in the heart of Accra.

He was welcomed by pupils and management staff of the Academy led by the Director, Ataa Lartey.

The visit offered him an opportunity to interact with the children some of who are given formal education with others trained in sports.

Speaking to the children, he stressed on the importance of such interactions with the children to make them feel that they were part of the community and also to let them understand that God loves them.

Demonstrating this, he presented food items to the children who in turn thanked him and sang songs in recognition of the support he offered.

Rev. Edmund also witnessed some of the activities the children usually engaged in on daily basis and promised to visit again.

On his part, Ataa Lartey thanked the Rev Minister for the kind gesture and hoped that it would motivate other religions organisation to do same.
