THE Vice President, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has extended warm Ramadan wishes to Muslims across the country, praying for peace, strength and renewed faith during the holy month.
As part of the observance, she made a donation to the Cape Coast Central Mosque to support the Muslim community in Cape Coast on Saturday.
The items, which included bags of rice, bottled water, cartons of milk and boxes of detergents, were presented on her behalf by the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, Kwamena Minta Nyarku.
In a message shared on her social media page on the same day, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said, “Ramadan Mubarak to all our Muslim brothers and sisters across Ghana.” She added that, “During this month of reflection, sacrifice and compassion, may Allah grant everyone peace, strength and renewed faith.”
The Vice President noted that she was pleased to support the sacred period with the donation of essential items to the mosque through Dr Nyarku and his team. “May this gesture bring comfort and ease as families continue their fast,” she stated.
The presentation at the mosque was received with appreciation by members of the Muslim community, who expressed gratitude for the support during the fasting period.
Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a time of fasting, prayer and charity. The donation is part of efforts by the Vice President to show solidarity with the Muslim community and to encourage unity and compassion during the holy month.
