The Black Queens have a revised fixture schedule for the group stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) following adjustments made by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Kim Lars Björkegren’s side will begin their Group C campaign against Cape Verde on Wednesday, July 29, at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca. Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 GMT.

Ghana will then face Cameroon on Sunday, August 2, also at the Moulay Rachid Stadium, with kick-off at 17:00 GMT.

The Black Queens wrap up the group stage against Mali on Thursday, August 6. The final Group C fixture is scheduled for 20:00 GMT at the same venue, a statement from the Ghana FA stated.

The revised schedule follows CAF’s adjustments to the tournament programme.

As a result, the Black Queens will be based in Casablanca after the revised logistical arrangements for the championship.

The teams in Group D were initially scheduled to camp in Fez for the Group stage.

However, following changes to the tournament programme by CAF, the team will instead be based in Casablanca for the Group stage of the competition.

CAF’s adjustments form part of its broader operational planning for WAFCON 2026, with participating teams being informed of updated camp and logistical arrangements.

The Black Queens will be hoping to build on recent progress and deliver a competitive campaign as the team seek to book a place in the FIFA World Cup 2027 and make a deep run at WAFCON 2026.
