Warm Felicitation: Let’s Continue to Work for God and Country

We extend to you our warmest and deepest felicitations for your unwavering support and patronage over the years of our authoritative newspaper, The Ghanaian Times—your favourite newspaper for reliable and credible news and information.

As the year 2025 comes to a close in a few days, it is most appropriate, as we break for the Christmas and New Year festivities, to say thank you for your unalloyed companionship! It is by the grace of God that we have come this far. We give thanks and praise to the Almighty God, knowing very well that our Men of God will articulately express these sentiments on the pulpits at the appropriate time.

We are also very grateful to our vendors, whose untiring efforts ensured our newspaper remained visible on the market throughout the year. To those of you travelling across the country to various destinations, we wish you God’s travelling mercies, praying that you arrive safely and enjoy the festivities.

We wish the Christian community joyful festivities and remind everyone what this season stands for: giving thanks and praise to God, reaching out to the less-privileged in society to put smiles on their faces, and promoting peaceful co-existence with other faiths. God has been kind to our country for religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence among faiths. Let’s continue to live in peace and harmony, devoid of rancor, bitterness, and acrimony. Where differences arise, let us exercise a high degree of responsible speech, avoid hate speech, and discuss our differences intellectually, without emotion or self-centeredness.

We remain committed to our mission to offer customers credible multimedia products and services through our disciplined and motivated workforce, with the vision of becoming a reliable and sustainable multimedia organisation globally. Our cherished values of professionalism, efficiency, timeliness, and teamwork are non-negotiable in our partnership with you.

Your patronage of our newspaper, and your unwavering commitment to do business with us and remain loyal customers, have greatly enhanced the status of our brand in a liberalised and pluralistic media industry.

As we take a temporary break from the newsstand, we pledge to return even stronger, with exciting news and information—from the pulpit to the beaches and other public spaces—to keep you abreast of events while you enjoy the Yuletide.

We deeply appreciate your constructive criticisms, concerns, suggestions, recommendations, and especially your critique of our content over the years. Indeed, your feedback on our flagship newspaper has made us disciplined, committed, customer-focused, and better, resulting in an improved newspaper.

While we are committed to the highest journalistic standards and professionalism in news gathering and dissemination, we humbly acknowledge that we do not know it all and are susceptible to unintentional errors. As the saying goes, “To err is human, and to forgive is divine.”

Nevertheless, we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to the ethics of journalism practice, remaining credible and reliable as your preferred medium for authoritative news and information.

In the coming years, we shall deepen our partnership with you and expand our coverage in news gathering and dissemination, especially giving voice to the voiceless and less-privileged in society to ensure an inclusive community. We shall not relent in our mandate to hold the government accountable to the people in the formulation of policies, plans, and programmes to improve societal well-being, while continuing to provide a platform for the expression of divergent views and dissenting opinions in a responsible and decorous manner.

Once again, we thank you for your loyalty. Let’s continue to work for God and country. Let’s make our nation great. God bless our homeland, Ghana!
