The 1977 Year Group of the West Africa Secondary School (WASSOSA ‘77) on Thursday presented two photocopiers and a digital piano valued at GH¢75, 500 to their alma mater.

Making the presentation at the school at Adenta, a suburb of Accra last Thursday at a gathering of staff and students, the chairman of the year group, Emmanuel Nii Amoo Ankrah, said the donation followed an appeal the headmistress made to the group.

Mr Solomon Tetteh Akpeng, through whose solo effort the year group was formed, said although the headmistress asked for two photocopiers, a member decided to add the digital piano as a surprise.

The headmistress of the school, Dr Shine Ofori, thanked the WASSOSA ‘77 year group for always supporting the school. She said the corn mill they installed in the school had been very beneficial.

Mr Eugene Agbeko, a representative of the Global Year Groups, thanked the 1977 year group for supporting the school, and appealed to the others to come on board.
