The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has pledged to fight illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, with integrity, saying the government will not relent until the menace is defeated.
He said the fight would also target the powerful individuals and financiers behind illegal mining activities, stressing that the government would continue to pursue them.
“I would choose to fight with integrity and die than being corrupted in this dangerous work that will destroy all of us. And that is the pledge we have for the people of Ghana,” he said.
