Wellspring School has been named Ghana’s Country Winner in the 2025 Global EduQuality Awards organised by Opportunity International.
The school topped 980 institutions locally and finished third globally out of more than 5,000 participating schools. It received a cash prize of USD 1,000, a plaque, and a certificate for its outstanding performance.
The Member of Parliament for Anyaa-Sowutuom, Emmanuel Tobbin, praised the school for its impact, pledging his support for technical and vocational education and promising programmes to help private school teachers improve their skills and salaries.
Chief Executive Officer of Wellspring School and Global Schools Advocate, Prince Frimpong Kumi, attributed the achievement to teamwork across the school community. He thanked Opportunity International and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to inclusive and high-quality education.
Mr. Kumi highlighted that the EduQuality Awards celebrate excellence in teaching, leadership, innovation, and community involvement. He also acknowledged the financial challenges many schools face but said Wellspring remains dedicated to continuous growth.
Mr. Kumi further announced plans to establish a credit union to support parents, teachers, and retired educators, particularly those involved in technical and vocational training. The initiative, he emphasised, will strengthen the school and empower the wider community.
Board Chairman, Ebenezer N. A. Laryea, commended the school’s leadership for its vision and urged parents to continue supporting the institution’s mission to transform lives through education.
