WHO backs Medical Trust Fund, calls for sustainable funding

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has commended the Ghana Medical Trust Fund for the progress it has made in its first year, describing the initiative as an important step towards reducing the financial burden on people living with chronic and high-cost diseases.

Speaking at the first anniversary of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, the WHO Country Representative to Ghana, Dr Fiona Braka, congratulated the government, the Fund’s leadership and Ghanaians on what she described as significant progress since its establishment. Read More
