The Board Chairman of Premier League and MTN FA Cup winners, Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has tasked the newly signed on players to work harder to complement the club’s hardwork and gains in the just ended season.

“You have come at a time that the club is basking in the Premier League and MTN FA Cup glory and we need to build on that success and achieve more.” “At the moment, expectation among Hearts followers is very high. This is the reason why you have been signed. We expect that you give out your very best to help the coach to raise the standard.”

Togbe Afede XIV made the remarks when he hosted the playing body as well as the technical team to a dinner to unveil six new players on Sunday.

The six new players includes former Great Olympics captain, Gladson Awako, former Medeama and Asante Kotoko striker, Isaac Agyenim Boateng, New Edubiase FC and Black Satellites midfielder Salim Adams, WAFA midfielder Enock Esubonteng as well as Samatex midfielder Benjamin York and Suraj Seidu from Tema United.

”You are joining a strong technical team and an ambitious set of players who are aiming to stop at nothing to become achievers. They want to achieve greater things for themselves and the club as well. It is important for you to have a similar mindset so that together, we can move the club in the same direction.”

He assured the team that the board would continue to support them to go as far as they come, adding that the rest of the work would depend on how hard they work and the performance they churn out.

“We want to transform the club into an important money making machine. It is then that we can give you what you deserve in terms of good remuneration. These additions to our team are positive news for us.”

Togbe Afede XIV also announced that the permanent home ground in Pobiman would be ready by the end of October.

Gladson Awako who spoke on behalf of the new players thanked the chairman and members of the board, the technical team and the playing body for the warm reception, pledging to complement the team’s effort to win more laurels.

The team has resumed training after a two-week break to commence preparation for the CAF Champions League first leg preliminary round tie against Guinea side, Club Industriel de Kamsar on the weekend of September 10-12 before returning to Accra for the second leg clash on September 17-19.
