CAF Interclub competitions return as Matchday 3 kicks off today

The CAF Champions League 2025/26 and the CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26 resumes today as Matchday 3 of the group stages gets underway across Africa.

Following the conclusion of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, attention now turns back to club football this weekend, where Africa’s leading sides resume their continental campaigns.

With two rounds of group matches were completed before the CAF AFCON break, Matchday 3 marks the halfway point of the competition, making it a decisive moment in the race for qualification to the quarter-finals.

The CAF Champions League returns with a strong opening day today, as record champions, Al Ahly, host Tanzania’s Young Africans in Cairo.

South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman in Pretoria today, in a fixture expected to shape Group C standings at the midpoint of the campaign.

The restart features other marquee fixtures, including the high-profile Group A clash between RS Berkane and title holders Pyramids FC tomorrow.

Across Saturday and Sunday, clubs will continue their push for control in the groups, as teams look to consolidate strong starts or revive qualification hopes.
