Decathlon Ghana, Okwawu United sign pact

Decathlon Ghana has signed a long-term agreement with Division One League (DOL) side, Okwawu United, to improve the club’s general outlook, match day and training experiences.
The renewable partnership will have Decathlon Ghana providing, among other things, football accessories and equipment as well as technical support to give the club a major lift in their preparation for games.
In return, the Asaase Aban club is expected to have logos of Decathlon Ghana embossed on all club apparels, offering brand exposure through other avenues like pitch-side perimeter boards, the club website, and match-day programmes.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Country Manager of Decathlon Ghana, Mr Geoffrey Fadoul, said his outfit’s mission was to make sport accessible to all and sees Okwawu United as a partner that shares their passion for development and discipline.
“This collaboration is about empowering young talent, strengthening local communities, and building a future where every aspiring footballers have the chance to realise their dreams.”
“We are proud to work with Okwawu United, and together we look forward to writing a new chapter of excellence and provide inspiration for all while hoping to see them make it back to the Premier League.”
The General Manager of Okwawu United, Nana Kwame Dankwah, expressed excitement at the deal and stated that the club would make good use of the partnership to enhance its image as they push for a Premier League return.
Okwawu United currently lie third on the DOL Zone Three league table with 40 points, eight points shy of leaders, Hohoe United, and four points adrift of Port City FC in second place.
And with nine games to end the season, Nana Kwame Dankwah said they would work harder to overtake the leaders.
