Devoted Skies supports Buduatta Health Centre
Devoted Skies, a US-based NGO, on Tuesday donated drugs and other medical logistics to the Buduatta Health Centre in the Gomoa East District of Central Region, to enable it to deliver effective health care to its clients.
Among the items were cartons of paracetamol tablets, enamycin, metagyl, nespri tablets, nexcofer capsules, nexcofer blood tonic, examination gloves, syringes and needles, methylated spirit and gauze bandages.
The items were presented by Mr Kweku Sersah-Johnson, the focal person of Devoted Skies with the hope that it would augment the centre’s stock and used to address the health needs of clients.
He commended the staff for their services to patients and clients within Devoted Skies’ vision of helping to reduce the health care disparity in underserved communities in Ghana in particular, and Africa as a whole.
The Physician Assistant and Head of the Centre, Mr Justice Marfo, received the donation, and together with Madam Biloniah Gyamera, midwife in charge and other staff members expressed his gratitude to Mr Funso Olufade, founder of Devoted Skies and his friends in Ghana for the assistance and assured them they would put the items to good use.
Mr Marfo looked forward to collaborating more with Devoted Skies to adopt the Centre, and have it upgraded to provide special medical services for the people.
