Donnarumma and Hampton Win FIFA Goalkeeper Awards

England’s Hannah Hampton has been named The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper, while Italy’s Gianluigi Donnarumma claimed the men’s award.

Hampton, 25, played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s domestic treble last season and helped England defend their Euro 2025 title, starting every match in the tournament. She also recorded 13 clean sheets, earning the Golden Glove award, and was honored with the Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in September.

Donnarumma was instrumental in Paris Saint-Germain’s first Champions League triumph before joining Manchester City this summer, further cementing his reputation as one of the world’s elite goalkeepers.

In other awards, Lizbeth Ovalle won the Marta Award for the best goal in women’s football with her stunning scorpion kick for Tigres against Guadalajara in Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil. She now plays for Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.

The Puskas Award, recognizing the best goal in men’s football, was awarded to Santiago Montiel of Independiente for his spectacular overhead kick from outside the box against Independiente Rivadavia in the Argentine Primera Division in May.
