Vehicle owners can acquire the 2025 DV plate from any of the operational offices of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) across the country beginning from next Thursday.
The DV plate is a license issued by the DVLA that allows unregistered vehicles to be operated and a vital document fleet owners and dealers who buy, sell, or operate vehicles.
According to the DVLA, the new DV plate which is embedded with enhanced security features such as holograms, watermarks, and QR codes, would help address counterfeiting issues and ensure its authenticity.
The enhanced security features of the 2025 DV plate demonstrate the authority’s commitment to leverage technology in order to enhance security and convenience for its customers.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Management of DVLA and copied the Ghanaian Times yesterday to announce the release of the 2025 DV plate to all its operational offices across the country.
“The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has released the 2025 DV plate to all its operational offices across the country. The DV plate is embedded with enhanced security features, as part of the Authority’s efforts to ensure vehicle registration and licensing in the country.
“The embedded security features, which are designed to prevent counterfeiting and ensure authenticity of the plate, include holograms, watermarks, QR codes, among others”, the statement read.
“The 2025 DV plate will be available at all DVLA offices nationwide, starting today, January 30, 2025. Vehicle owners, automobile dealers, distributors, freight forwarders and agents can acquire the plate at any of our operational offices across the country”, it added.
