‘Entrepreneurs must take advantage of business opportunities to grow companies
A Procurement Specialist and Serial Entrepreneur, Mr Ebenezer Acheampong, has urged young entrepreneurs to take advantage of the numerous business opportunities available in the country to grow their companies.
Speaking at a business breakfast meeting organised by Mountain View Worship Centre of the Church of Pentecost, Kasoa, on Saturday, Mr Acheampong said growing business required an understanding of the environment to adapt to changes.
The meeting, which was under the theme: ‘growing your business, widening your income net’, was aimed at building the capacity of young entrepreneurs and positioning them to grow their businesses for economic development.
“You need to research, explore, and access the environment in which you find yourself or operate as a businessman and dominate. By so doing, you can identify ways to solve problems or compete effectively with other organisations,” he added.
He said while exploring the environment, there was the need to be creative, time cautious, and
develop the capacity to work to achieve growth.
The Managing Director of Aslord Company Limited, Paapa Asmah, encouraged businesses to be persistent in their dealings and learn to take risks to enhance their income.
He said risk enables one to learn new skills and evolve already existing ones, saying, “Fear of failure gets obliterated once you embrace a risk-taking culture.”
Pastor Emmanuel P.S Yirebi, Chaplain, Tobinco Group of Companies, entreated businesses to avoid procrastination and manipulation, saying that do not enhance productivity but rather ruin businesses.
“Always guard yourself against manipulation. Don’t do the right thing for the wrong reason but rather allow God to partner with your business by making Him the CEO to grow your income,” he added.
