GARFA Division 2 Middle League begins June 14

Eight Division Two clubs in the Greater Accra region will converge at the Teshie McDan Park for the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Soccerbet Division Two Promotional Middle League from June 14 to 29, battling for a ticket to play in the 2025/2026 Access Bank Division One League.
Five zonal champions, Tema United FC, AS Rences FC, New Town Youth FC, Kitu Senior FC, and John Paintsil FC have been joined by the three best second-placed teams from the five zones: True Life FC, Great Ambition FC, and Asanska FC, all competing for the ultimate prize in the division.
The official launch and draw for the tournament, held at the Nathan Quao Auditorium of CLOSSAG last week, paired Kitu Senior FC, New Town Youth FC, Great Ambition FC, and True Life FC in Group A, while Tema United FC, John Paintsil FC, Asanska FC, and AS Rences FC were placed in Group B.
According to the pairings, Kitu Senior FC will open their account against New Town Youth FC, while Great Ambition FC will face True Life FC on match day one.
Match day two will see New Town Youth FC come up against Great Ambition FC, with True Life FC facing Kitu Senior FC on June 18. True Life FC will clash with New Town Youth FC, and Great Ambition FC will battle Kitu Senior FC three days later.
Zone Five winners, John Paintsil FC, will renew their zonal rivalry with Asanska FC in the Group B opener on June 15, with Tema United facing AS Rences FC in the day’s other game.
Asanska FC will play Tema United FC, while AS Rences FC will slug it out with John Paintsil FC on June 19. Three days later, AS Rences FC will take on Asanska FC, and Tema United FC will play John Paintsil FC.
Winners of the two groups will face off in the Champion of Champions final on June 29 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
GARFA Chairman, Mr Samuel Aboabire, who supervised the process, presented 10 balls and two sets of bibs to all participating teams while urging them to prepare well for the task ahead.
He took the opportunity to caution the clubs and their fans to maintain their best behaviour, as the Association will not condone any misconduct during the league period, adding that they would not hesitate to fine or ban clubs that violate the championship guidelines
