GCA to host 3-day ICC Level 1 Coach Tutors Course

The Ghana Cricket Association (GCA) will host the maiden International Cricket Council (ICC) Level One Coach Tutors course from today to Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium Conference Hall, Legon.
Fifteen carefully selected coaches from across Ghana are expected to attend and will trained to become ICC-certified coach tutors.
According to the Cricket Operations Officer of the GCA, Mr Prince Eugene King, the course was a critical component of the ICC’s Coaching and Education programme, aimed at enhancing the coaching capabilities of ICC Africa member nations.
He added that the ICC Level 1 Coach Tutors course will equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to train and mentor future cricket coaches.
“The course will focus on tutor development, creating long-lasting positive impact on grassroots and elite cricket development throughout Ghana,” he added.
The course will be facilitated by experienced ICC personnel, Chris Cardoso and Jolene Campher, both from South Africa, and will cover key aspects of coaching delivery, including communication, planning and assessment.
