GHANA Link Network Services Limited, an information technology company specialising in trade facilitation and customs management solutions, has received the ISO 27001:2022 certification for its newly established Tier IV Data Centre.
The certificate was presented by Certi Trust following a comprehensive audit and risk management assessment of the company’s operations. The certification validates the quality of Ghana Link’s processes and confirms that its services meet global gold standards for information security management.
The rigorous assessment involved a thorough scrutiny and verification of the company’s work processes, as well as its risk management systems.
The new data centre is expected to support the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), a platform used to process customs documentation and payments, further strengthening Ghana’s trade infrastructure.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Agribusiness, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, said the facility would enhance efficiency within the country’s import and export sector while ensuring that users’ information remains safe and secure.
She underscored the importance of ICUMS to the government’s trade and industrial agenda, noting that it contributes to creating a reliable trading environment, strengthening compliance, promoting fair market competition, and encouraging investment in trade and production.
“When the system is dependable, transporters plan better, ports and borders decongest, and the entire value chain becomes more efficient,” Mrs Ofosu-Adjare stated.
According to the Minister, sustaining the ISO certification would require continuous improvement, routine reviews, and sustained staff commitment. She urged the company and its partners to prioritise regular training, remain responsive to users, and resolve issues promptly to ensure the system remains dependable and trustworthy.
The Chief Technology Officer of Ghana Link, Prince Alvin Kwabena Ansah, described the ISO certification as a testament to the company’s resilient infrastructure and institutionalised governance discipline.
He said the migration of critical systems onto the new data centre was seamless and without service disruptions. “Through the ISO 27001:2022 certification, we upgraded structured risk management, strengthened access governance, integrated business continuity, and subjected ourselves to independent external audit,” Dr Ansah noted.
He expressed gratitude to the company’s team, partners, and stakeholders who contributed to the successful establishment of the facility.
The Managing Director of Certi Trust, Mike Kamau, commended Ghana Link for subjecting itself to rigorous verification and scrutiny, describing it as a demonstration of the company’s commitment to global standards. He added that the certification assures the business community of the quality and reliability of the services provided by Ghana Link.
Also present at the ceremony were the Director of Human Resource of Ghana Link, Mrs Cynthia Efua Ahinkurah; the Director of Finance and Administration; and the Chairman of the company, Dr Nick Danso Adjei, among other dignitaries.
