Ghana Man Utd Supporters Club holds maiden congress
The Ghana Manchester United Supporters Club held its maiden congress at the Executive Conference Center at GIMPA last Saturday.
The ceremony was under the chairmanship of Mr. Magnus Naabe Rex Danquah, a Sport business consultant, who also doubles as a Patron of the club.
In his opening address as the Chairman, Mr. Rex Danquah charged members to work assiduously with the executive so the club’s plans of bringing Manchester United FC to Ghana by 2025 will be achieved.
A nine-member National Executives Council (NEC) was sworn into office.
The national President, Mr. Sammy Anim Addo encouraged the executives to work hard to put the club at a very top level of attraction.
He also urged the members to work diligently to support the executives to ensure the growth of the supporters club nationwide and also to ensure that the borehole project, which is the club’s major project of the year, will be accomplished.
The congress unanimously adopted a new constitution to inform and direct the group’s activities towards placing it as the most dynamic club under the franchise in Africa.
Regional Coordinators of some regions were outdoored and introduced at the Congress. They were charged with growing the membership from the district levels to the regions.
