Ghana to host Africa Goalball Champs Dec
The Ghana Blind Sports Association(GBSA) in collaboration with the Ghana Blind Union(GBU) and the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) will stage the 2021 IBSA Goalball Africa Championship on December 3-11 at the Sports Complex of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Ghana would host the championship for the first time after Algeria and Egypt hosted in Africa.
Countries including Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, Kenya, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Morocco would join the host Ghana to battle for glory.
The competition would feature both men and women teams.
The championship would also serve as a qualifier for the 2022 IBSA Goalball World Championships in Hangzhou China, from July 6-18 with the top three teams(male and female) to qualify.
According to the President of the GBSA, Mr. Eric Kissi, Ghana was committed to hosting a good championship that would make the continent proud.
