GPS allays fears of prospective applicants in ongoing recruitment exercise

The Ghana Police Service has assured applicants in its ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment exercise that those yet to be invited for document validation remain under consideration and would be called in subsequent batches.

It explained that the validation exercise, which was currently underway, was being conducted in phases and would continue until 2028 in line with the service’s recruitment schedule.

The assurance was contained in a statement signed by the Director General of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Grace Ansah Akrofi.

According to the statement, the recruitment process was progressing as planned, with successful applicants being invited in batches to report to designated centres for validation.

It said the exercise was intended to verify academic certificates, examination results and all other documents submitted by applicants during the initial stage of the recruitment process.

The statement noted that the first batch of successful applicants had already been invited and were currently undergoing the validation process.

It, however, clarified that applicants who had successfully completed the medical examination had been declared medically fit but were yet to receive invitations for validation remained in the recruitment pool and would be considered in subsequent batches.

The Police Service, therefore, appealed to such applicants to remain patient, stressing that the phased approach formed part of the approved recruitment timetable.

It also cautioned the public against misinformation surrounding the recruitment exercise and urged applicants not to pay money to any individual claiming to have the ability to facilitate their recruitment into the service.

The statement emphasised that the recruitment process would continue transparently and in accordance with the service’s established procedures.

The Police Service further encouraged applicants and the public to rely only on official communication channels for updates on the recruitment exercise.
