Hearts test for Aduana
Accra Hearts of Oak will provide a stern test for league leaders, Aduana Stars when the two clash at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow.
Aduana seem to have enjoyed a good run this season and are poised to repeat the feats of 2010 and 2017 where such sterling performances led to them winning the championship.
The Dormaa lads lead the Phobians in second position on the table with four points; a situation that makes the encounter a make-or-break affair.
Of bigger importance for Hearts is where the points go; knowing that a win for the host would leave them with a monstrous task of closing a seven-point gap.
Armed with that statistic, Slavco Matic’s side will leave no stone unturned to stun the ‘Ógya’ boys and close that gap.
Third placed Asante Kotoko would be the happiest side should the top two clash end in a draw as it offers them a chance to claw back.
But they would first have to beat Nsoatreman today at the Nana Konamansah Park in one of the Saturday match day 18 games of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
The battle for places at the top will continue in Accra where highflying Accra Lions battle struggling Kotoku Royals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Lions surprisingly dropped points in midweek against GoldStars and would hope to use the opportunity to make amends.
Elsewhere, Bechem United are heavy favourites against struggling Accra Great Olympics whose performance at the Bechem Park leaves much to be desired.
Kumasi King Faisal will have a feel of their newly adopted home venue – Kwame Kyei Sports Complex when they oblige Berekum Chelsea with Dreams FC coming face-to-face with GoldStars.
Samartex 1996 will prove a difficult nut to break by visiting Real Tamale United as they clash in Samreboi while Tamale City stay at home against Karela United.
