Infant Catholic School receives support to complete building project
The Osei-Fordwuo Foundation, in partnership with African Grill & Bar in the USA, has donated $5, 000 to the Infant Jesus Catholic School at Dunkwa-On-Offin in the Central Region to support their school building project.
The donation forms part of the social responsibility of the two organisations to help promote quality education in the area and assist the school to complete its building project.
A patron of the Osei Fordwuo Foundation, Mrs Agnes Kwegyir, who presented the money on behalf of the Foundation said: ‘’this donation is more than financial assistance; it is an investment in the future of these children and the broader community. By helping to complete the school building, we are laying the groundwork for a brighter future for the kids in this community.’’
“This collaboration exemplifies the Foundation’s commitment to uplifting communities through education and highlighting the importance of diaspora engagement in Africa’s development,” she stated.
The headmistress of the Infant Jesus Catholic School, Reverend Sister Lawrencia Takyi, in her remarks expressed gratitude to the foundation for the gesture.
“This donation is timely as it has come at a time when we really needed funds to complete the school to improve the learning environment for these kids,’’ she stated.
The Supervisor of Cooks at Africa Grill & Bar, Rev. Sr Monica Abena Dangah, who presented the school’s needs to the foundation and secured the funds, was very happy and appreciative to the Osei-Fordwuo family for the support.
“This donation is earmarked for helping complete the school’s building project, which is a crucial step towards creating a conducive learning environment,” she said.
