Institute of Directors-Ghana congratulates GTF Pres Lartey Otu

The Governing Council, members, management and staff of the Institute of Directors-Ghana (IoD-Gh) has congratulated Mr Frederick Lartey Otu for his election as Council Member of the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union (CTU) at its elections held in Chuncheon, Korea, last Tuesday.

Mr Otu, a Chief Revenue Officer of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and President of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF), thus become the first Ghanaian to serve on all three international bodies of taekwondo.

A citation from the IoD-Gh signed by Rev (Mrs) Angela Carmen Appiah, President/Chair of the Governing Council read: “The Governing Council, members, management and staff of the Institute of Directors-Ghana celebrate you on your election as a Council Member of the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union (CTU), at the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union General Assembly held in Chuncheon, Korea.”

“As a Fellow of the institute, we believe you will continue to render excellent services in your spheres of influence, blazing the trail for good corporate governance,” it added.

This was his second citation from the institute after receiving a similar one upon his re-election as Council Member responsible for the West Zone and appointment as Chairman of the Development Committee of the African Taekwondo Union (AFTU).

Mr Otu adds the citation to other portfolios including the 2nd Vice President of the Commonwealth Games Association, Treasurer of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and 2nd Vice President of the Commonwealth Games Association, Ghana
