Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson condemns sanction on Iran Air

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, has condemned the decision by British, French and German to revoke bilateral deals on the provision of air services to Iran.

A statement issued by the foreign ministers of the three countries also imposed sanctions on Iran’s airline and Iran Air, under the pretext of involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.

Reacting to these sanctions in a statement copied to the Ghanaian Times by the Iranian Embassy in Ghana, Mr Kanaani described the statement by the three countries as uncustomary and their action, as economic terrorism.

“The move by the three European countries is in line with the West’s hostile policy and economic terrorism against the Iranian people, and will face the corresponding and proportionate move by Iran.”

The spokesperson of the Iranian diplomatic service, reiterated Iran’s transparent and proclaimed stance on the war in Ukraine, denying allegations of selling weapons to Russia.

“As we have stressed in the past, any claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran has sold ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation is completely baseless and false,” the statement emphasised.

“The US and the three European countries are the main sources of supplying weapons to the Zionist regime and are accomplices in the massive massacre of the Palestinian people and genocide in Gaza, and they must be held accountable for their wrong policies,” it added.
